Abbots Bromley Horn Dance

The eldest unbroken tradition in England, Abbots Bromley Horn Dance has been performed every year since 1226. It comprises of the Horn Dancers - made up of six Deer Men, a Fool, a Hobby Horse, a Bowman and a Maid Marian - dancing to the sounds of the melodian and accordian players, and their Triangle Boy. Starting at 8am after the church service, the group walk to the surrounding hamlets and villages to dance outside pubs and in village squares, finishing at Abbots Bromley around 8pm.
