Dominic Markes is a photographer and sound artist specialising in mixed-media projects about English folklore and culturally significant gatherings.
Possessing an innate sense for detail and an intuition to creatively capture the fleeting moments and evolving energies of an event, Dominic explores themes of (collective) identity, belonging and connectedness, highlighting the importance of these large public gatherings.
His work has been shortlisted for the IPA International Photography Award, and British Journal of Photography’s Portrait of Humanity, and commissioned by Columbia Records, Google and War Child.
He is available for commissions, portraits and projects on a global scale.
