Whittlesey Straw Bear Festival

Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival is a modern revival of the ancient fenland custom of making a straw bear for Plough Monday. 

Fronting the parade, the straw bear is led through the town by his keepers and a plough team pulling the plough, followed by various morris, molly and clog sides, who also perform throughout the day at several locations in the town.
